Causes of Wrist/Hand Pain
There are many causes of wrist pain. A
classic example is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, which is a condition that
results from compression of a nerve (the median) at the wrist. There are many potential causes to this
condition, including repetitive wrist movements, as seen in typing.
Some signs and symptoms include:
- Weakness in grip and opposition of one or both hands
- Numbness & Tingling in the thumb/index/middle and ½ of the ring finger as well as palm
- Clumsiness (fine movement deficit)
- There are many other causes of wrist and hand pain
